Scotland Hikes

Highlands, Lowlands, Glens and Lochs

Walking and Hiking Tours through Scotland

England’s northerly neighbor, Scotland seems a wild country of surprisingly varied and endlessly enchanting landscapes. Vast lochs, green glens, heather-cloaked moorlands and rising Highland hills have conspired to produce castles and kilts, bagpipes and brogues, poets and outlaws, and miles upon miles of byways and old drovers’ roads well worth traveling on foot.

A gentler landscape in some respects and not quite as high as the Alps, Scotland still offers equally inspiring walks. Our West Highland Way trip traces the length of legendary Loch Lomond and offers the opportunity to bag the most southerly of the Munros, Ben Lomond, before crossing the Black Mount on the way to the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. There are few better ways to connect with this wild and romantic country.

Any hiking trip in the mountains requires a certain amount of effort and proper fitness training will enhance your enjoyment. In the mountains, time and elevation gain or loss as opposed to distance, tend to be the determining factors when defining hiking grades or level of difficulty. We have done our best to grade our trips consistently, please contact us for further clarification. We are happy to offer names of past participants.
